About Amanda Mercer
I’m passionate about sharing my love of tai chi and qigong with others. I believe that these ancient Chinese practices can help people of all ages and abilities improve their health and well-being. My classes are designed to be fun and relaxing, and I’m always happy to answer any questions you have.
Hello, I’m Amanda, a certified tai chi and qigong instructor. I’ve been practicing tai chi since my early 20s, and in 2021 I trained as a tai chi instructor with the Deyin Taijiquan Institute. I teach Yang Style Tai Chi and am qualified to teach the following forms:
- Yang 8 Step
- Yang 16 Step
- Yang 24 Step
- Yang 16 Step Sword
- and also Sun Style 13 Step
I’m also qualified by the BHQA to teach the following Health Qigong sets:
- Traditional 8 Treasures (Ba Duan Jin)
- Ming Mu Gong – Eye Brightening Exercise
- Ma Wang Dui
