What are Tai Chi and Qigong?

Class Times
Qigong for Health from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM
Come along and begin your week with our friendly group practice of the 8 Treasures Qigong Set to promoting health and wellness. This set is easy to learn and can be practised standing and sitting. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is necessary.
Tai Chi for Beginners from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Perfect for beginners and improvers, in this class we are learning the first 6 moves of the Yang Style 24 step. We practise the tai chi walk both forwards and backwards, and each week we pick a move to look at in detail.
Ideal for beginners who wish to learn in a small group setting. Join any time, no experience necessary. Please note booking is required as space is limited.
Beginners Tai Chi Qigong at Formby Library Thursday afternoons 2:00pm - 2:45pm
This class combines Tai Chi and Qigong, is tailored for beginners, and can be done standing or sitting. The first class is free, and it’s just £5 thereafter.
Most other classes are £5 and change is always available. Don’t worry if you’ve never done Tai Chi or Qigong before — the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and you’ll be guided through the movements step by step.
What to Wear?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, flat supportive shoes such as trainers, and bring a drink with you!
