Join us on Monday mornings at Ravenmeols Community Centre, Park Rd, Formby for Qigong for Health and Beginners Yang Style Tai Chi, two ancient Chinese practices that promote health and well-being.

Tai chi is a low-impact exercise that combines slow, graceful movements with deep breathing. It can help improve balance, flexibility, and strength, and reduce stress. Originally tai chi was practised as a martial art but it is now practised for health and well-being.

Qigong is a system of exercises for health that focuses on the flow of energy (qi) through the body. It can help improve circulation, relaxation, and focus. Qigong forms are symmetrical and easier to learn than tai chi. They can be practised standing or sitting in a chair making them very accessible to everyone.

Our classes are suitable for beginners of all ages and fitness levels. No prior experience is necessary.

Classes are led by Amanda, a fully qualified tai chi and qigong instructor. Amanda has been interested in tai chi since her early 20’s and has a passion for helping people improve their health and well-being.

In our classes, you will learn the basics of tai chi and qigong in an enjoyable, safe and supportive environment. We will also focus on relaxation and mindfulness, helping you to reduce stress and improve your overall well-being.
